Nauset Construction regards safety on a job site as the most important aspect of any construction project. The company takes an aggressive and proactive approach to jobsite safety and awareness. Nauset has instituted various initiatives to improve jobsite safety consistent with OSHA, state, and federal standards. Safety requirements are strictly monitored and enforced on a daily basis.

All Nauset field employees are given a comprehensive Nauset Safety and Health Manual, which is continuously reviewed and modified to insure updated information on safety regulations and OSHA standards are understood and adhered to. Key project-specific safety items are reviewed with all trades on a weekly basis and during a mandatory pre-construction safety meeting prior to any work starting on a jobsite. To ensure safety compliance, Nauset field staff conducts daily safety inspections.

Nauset safety requirements include:

  • Each Nauset field employee regularly participates in company-mandated safety training programs sponsored by Nauset’s Safety Consultant, the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., and OSHA .
  • Each Nauset Project Superintendent has a minimum of 30-hour OSHA training.
  • Weekly Tool-Box Talks are conducted and closely managed by our Project Superintendents.
  • Nauset requires all subcontractors performing work on site to develop a project specific safety manual including MSDS, which are kept on file in the Nauset field office.
